Basically, the key to fast concentration and lower stress is yawning. No really! If it’s good enough for Loyola Marymount University, it’s good enough for us.
We’ve been trialling this technique for a few weeks now. And we can say, hand on heart, that one minute of yawning does indeed snap your brain into a calm and clear state.
We can’t guarantee that it’s actually lowering cortisol – but we sure feel ready to focus and less stressed.
You might look a bit daft doing it, but really, that’s a small price to pay for your brain working more efficiently.
