It sounds like a spoof movie, but it’s not. You really can use cake to get ahead in business.

After all, when’s the last time you walked into a room with a cake and people turned away from you? (“I’ll have none of that, thank you!”) It’s never happened, right?

People gravitate towards cake like moths to the flame.

And, if you want to progress, in any career, you need a strong team of people surrounding you, and bolstering you.

Improved office relationships

Okay, if you’re not good at sharing your cake, this will never work. Any time you bring cake into an office and share it with your colleagues, you gain a point in their books. They can clearely see that you’re kind and generous, and they’ll likely be ready to step to your aid when you need it most.

Extending your networks

Bring a cake when you head out to meetings with people in your network and you’ll never believe how this will improve things. That entire office will rave about you. Whether you are a client or supplier, people will be happy to work with you – and to talk your name up when you need a new position. It’s truly that easy.

Cake as a motivator

Outside of the other people in your life, it’s still numero uno that’s going to secure the next pay rise, or new position. Cake is one of the easiest (and tastiest) ways to reward yourself. You can certainly use it as a self-motivator to keep your nose at the grindstone; after all the cake you hand out to others has to match you skills – or it’ll do no help at all.

And cake does something else, as well. The smells and tastes of cake bring most people back to happier, simpler times. If that’s you; it’ll can keep you composed and centrered. And that’s a massive bonus.

So, before you ignore our cake ramblings and skip past our cake eBooks, keep in mind that we’re only trying to get your career (or your business) to the next level. Truly, it’s not just that it tastes so good.
